The 2026 Australian Swimming Trials continued on Day 6 with swimmers vying for their spots in the finals and the Commonwealth Games and Pan-Pacs rosters. The women's 50 freestyle saw Shayna Jack take the top spot with a time of 24.45, just five hundredths off her season best. Meg Harris finished second with a time of 24.61, six tenths off her season best. Alexandria Perkins, Hannah Casey, and Olivia Wunsch also qualified under 25 seconds.
In the women's 100 freestyle Multi-Class prelims, Chloe Osborn scored the most points with a time of 1:11.64. Lakeisha Patterson finished second with a time of 1:03.49, while S10 athlete Rowan Crothers set the top time and scored the most points in the men's 100 freestyle Multi-Class prelims with a time of 52.16.
The men's 400 IM saw William Petric take the top seed with a time of 4:15.14, more than three seconds ahead of Thomas Neill. Petric's swim was a new personal best, moving him up to tie for 6th in the world this season. In the women's 400 IM, Jenna Forrester dominated with a time of 4:41.56, six seconds faster than the second-place qualifier.
The men's 50 fly saw Ben Armbruster take the top spot with a new personal best time of 22.96, marking his first time under 23 seconds. Kyle Chalmers finished second with a time of 23.15, four tenths off his season and lifetime best. The women's 1500 freestyle saw Molly Young take the top time in the early heat with a new lifetime best of 17:05.47, almost four seconds off her previous best.
